After completing his education, Gary began his working career in the automotive industry.
Shortly there after, he moved into the Petro Chemical industry, beginning with Imperial Oil, and finishing his 35-year career, with Shell Canada Ltd.
During his employment with Shell Canada, he rose to the ranks of Senior Operator, at the refinery in Corunna Ontario. He was actively involved in the day-to-day operations of the refinery, Training, Health and Safety along with Safety Promotions.
Gary has had a wide-ranging board, committee and senior management experience in a variety of Corporations and Boards. He has been actively involved in the private, public and the Municipal levels.
He is the recipient of the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal for his work within the community.
Prior to his appointment to the Board of the Federal Bridge Corporation, he served as a Director of the Blue Water Bridge Corporation, involved in the Audit and Finance and the Human Relations Committees.
