OTTAWA, October 22, 2018, /CNW/ – The Federal Bridge Corporation Limited (FBCL) announced today the details of its ConneXion program, a new automated, prepaid frequent crossing platform deployed at the Blue Water Bridge in Point Edward.

ConneXion is aimed at non-commercial travellers who make regular crossings at the Blue Water Bridge from Canada to the USA. The program allows customers to open a prepaid toll payment account, make payments using their credit card and have their crossings facilitated by a radio-frequency identification device mounted in their vehicle.

FBCL is pleased to offer daily commuters and other frequent users of the Blue Water Bridge a novel approach to facilitate their transit across the bridge. Connexion provides a major convenience through cashless processing of toll payments and the management of accounts online. No more fumbling for coins or cards. Users now have an easy and innovative mechanism for processing tolls. ConneXion users also benefit from a less expensive crossing, since the toll rate applied is less than posted cash toll rate.

FBCL encourages all interested bridge users to find detailed program information, answers to frequently asked questions and the User Support Contact by visiting its website at www.federalbridge.ca/ConneXion. The website also allows users to register to the new ConneXion frequent traveller program.

FBCL owns, manages and operates international bridges and associated structures in Sault Ste. Marie, Point Edward, Lansdowne (Thousand Islands) and Cornwall, Ontario. FBCL’s mandate is to provide the highest level of stewardship so that its international bridges and associated structures are safe and efficient for users.
